Canyons and Dinosaurs!

Our tour guide took us on our 1st tour today...to Drumheller to see Horseshoe Canyon and the Dinosaurs!!

 We stopped for lunch and then we were off to the museum...Maddie learned LOTS about Dinosaurs!

It has been 12 years since I have been in the West, so it was great to see all of the sites again and be able to show Maddie the Dinosaurs!!  (Who needs school when you are on vacation when you can learn from sight seeing!!

Hang time!

We had another day filled with just hanging out...ahh, the ability to relax...we all need more time to do that!  Auntie Kim had to run out so we took the kids outside.  Although the sun was shining, it was quite windy and the little ones needed hats but Auntie Julie couldn't find Declan's so we raided the closet and tortured our poor nephew...he tried a few different ones one, with no complaints and we decided with this one!! 

The kids played and ran around and then we headed back in for some lunch!!

After a yummy breakfast, we headed out for a walk.  We found a park and the girls played for quite a while. 

 

 The park was very close to Auntie Kim's so after we all had naps/quiet time, we went back so the kids could play some more!

1st swing ride!!

My sister is a fabulous drink maker...mmm...blender drinks are yummy!  We headed outside for some fresh air and some soccer. 

 We had a great first day...lots of excitement!! 

We made it!!!

The girls both did SUPER on the plane!!!  (I was secretly praying it would all go smoothly...)  I was proud of both of them for being so patient and sitting so still, 4 hours is a long time for kids (and adults!) of any age to sit still...Auntie Kim and Declan picked us up and we were to their place quickly.  The girls got comfy, we were all quite sleepy.  Look at my sweet nephew, his eyes are going to break someones heart one day...

After just a couple hours of being here, I told the girls I had to run to the "grocery store"...code word for "airport to pick up Daddy".  Maddie didn't know he was coming so it was going to be a surprise!  Miaya came with me, my little cling-on and fell asleep on the way back.  We are looking forward to enjoying some time together, relaxing and seeing some sites.  Our hosts have been very gracious to keep all of us!

Off we go!!

After our early early start this morning, we made it to the airport just after 5am!  Thanks Dad for taking us and getting no sleep!

The girls and I won't be home for Easter so the girls got spoiled tonight from Nana...Thanks Nana!
