NASCAR Here we COME!!!!

 Ya Baby!!  That's right, were going to Michigan to watch Daddy's dream LIVE!!!!  We were all quite excited!  We've had a busy week, with Zavhier and Kyanne being with us and trying to get ready to head out today, plus we will have company when we get home...Busy, Busy, Busy!  Daddy took the truck and trailer to work this am and I drove the girls down to meet him after lunch.  (We then dropped our car and Park N Fly for my sister and family to drive home when they arrive in Ontario Friday!)  It was a long drive, especially for Daddy because he worked all day.
 

 We had some fun at the Duty Free...

 And then back in the truck for a movie before Miaya fell asleep (After 10:30pm) and Maddie was up the whole time...

We pulled in the campgrounds just after midnight and it was COLD...yes, COLD...like 9 degrees cold!  We got the trailer set up and the girls tucked in...they sleep like logs in our home away from home! 

Cutting and Trimming

 Mark's boss is a really great man...he let Mark and another guy that works for him borrow one of the trucks so they could bring it home and do some work!  They had a few jobs to do for some other people and then they were here working away all day Saturday and Mark continued Sunday.

 There was a LOT of brush and a LOT of clean up but we got it all done, it was a busy few days.  And the girls took advantage of the wind and flew their kites too!

 

 

He was also able to get the Antenna down finally...still a few things to do but it's coming.

Lions and Tigers and Bears OH MY!!!

 For Miaya's birthday this year we decided to go the Toronto Zoo together...better late than never!!  July blew by faster than we wanted it to and we finally found a day this week that we could go.  Daddy is off on holidays and the weather was gorgeous so we took advantage today!!  Our first stop was the Panda Bears!  One was sleeping and the other was eating with his back to us, so this is the best shot!

Both girls were great!  It was HOT but there were no complaints!!

 

 And little Miss Miaya said a few funny things today...Man she cracks us up!  "Mama, can you fix my barrettes they are falling out...Can you stand still please sweetie?...Love, please stand still so I can fix them...Miaya, please stand still lovey...Mom, can I move my mouth?!  I guess it's hard for a 3 year old to stand still for more than 1 second!!  And then we were watching the Tigers...and you can see that little pond/cement pool of water there??  Well, there is a rock in the picture if you look and Miaya says to Mark "Daddy look!!  That egg hasn't hatched yet!!!"  Man, she is so sweet!!

We enjoyed our day together, we all had fun!  I love family days!!

Watching the rain

We took the girls to the movies today and on the way home we realized that the thunderstorm warnings had changed to Tornado warnings!  Hail, wind, tonnes of rain...we pulled over and the girls enjoyed watching from the car.

Country music and lots of it!!

 The friends that came with us live minutes away so we would leave, shower there, eat breakfast and head back to start another day! 

 We saw Rascall Flatts (LOVE them!!), Jason Aldean (Great show!), Dierks Bentley (LOVE him too!) and Miranda Lambert Sunday night!

And did I mention that we met some awesome people who shared their backstage passes with us??!!  So Rhonda and I went backstage and saw the crowd from a different angle!  It was pretty cool but unfortunately we couldn't hear the music...just the band.  Cool experience but I preferred to watch from the crowd!

 
It was really a great weekend away!! 

BOOTS AND HEARTS 2013!!

 This is our 2nd Annual Boots and Hearts weekend away...and this year was AWESOME!!!  Lots of great country music, tonnes of people and many laughs!  We got smart and brought the trailer...we got awfully wet in the tent last year.  It did rain again but we were prepared!!  We arrived Thursday afternoon, set up, enjoyed a few adult beverages and each other's company!

 

 

 Friday brought some rain and a few rainbows!  We pulled out our rubber boots and our ponchos to keep dry and had a blast!!
