A day at the Zoo!!

There is a Zoo about an hour from us that has an awesome playground, a splash pad, some cool animals, a train you can ride on and did I mention it's free!!??  So, it's a great way to spend a day!  We met my favorite brother and family (yup, he's my only brother but I'm sure if I had another one he'd still be my favorite!!) and we wandered around checking out all the cool stuff!

 

Jacob may or may not have gotten pooped on...LOL!!!  He was a little less than impressed!

The weather has been VERY hot and humid!  Wow...Our feet were on fire standing in the splash pad area, I had to keep getting sprayed to stay cool.  I think when we left the zoo around 3 pm, the temperature was 38 degrees plus humidity!  Man, it was actually a little gross...and we all felt awful for Mark, who had to work until 11 pm!!  YUCK!!!  We had fun today...summer's going by much too fast!!  Why does that have to happen??!!

Camping...ADULTS ONLY!!

 Nana stayed with the girls and Jacob today, as kind of a Birthday gift for us, so we headed camping!!  Just across the lake, less than 10 minutes from home, but it was still away for the ordinary and we had a great time!  We always do when we're with my brother and sister in law!  We had to run back home after we got all set up because one of our neighbours passed away and they were having a Celebration of Life for him this afternoon.  We did that and got back to camp, had some supper and enjoyed ourselves!!  Thanks Nana!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TODAY IS MINE AND MY SISTER IN LAW'S BIRTHDAY!!!  SO HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!!  (Am I allowed to wish myself a Happy Day??!!  Oh well, I just did!!!)
 We are having our niece and nephew spend some time with us weekly this summer and this week was our 1st week all together!  I can say that everyone had tonnes of fun!!  They were in and out of the pool daily, almost hourly actually!  They all played so well together and I got to watch all of them enjoy themselves! There was no fighting and only a tiny bit of whining...made my week easy!!  By this afternoon, they were all a little pooped, so I declared a movie and popcorn for a break before more swimming!  The weather was stinking hot this week too so that helped tire everyone out.

 When my fabulous hubby got home, the kids helped him wrap a few goodies for me and they served me a cake and sang!  That was nice!!  And then it was back in the pool until Kelly and Donnie came to grab the kids!  That's when we put the girls to bed, headed to the neighbours for a drink...which turned into more than "a" drink...I arrived at 3 am and Mark was after that...oops!!  Fun was had by all and that's what birthday's are all about right?!  Well ours are anyways!!  Thanks to all who made my day a special one!!

One down...

Unfortunately we lost one of Maddie's fish today...it got flushed...now we are down to 9.  She wasn't upset over it, she just wants a new one to replace it...Glad she took it well!!

Movie Night!!

Maddie and I took Miaya to see her 1st movie in a Theatre tonight!!  Monsters University was playing and the girls loved it!  And so did Mommy!  I love hanging out with our girls!!

New members of our family!!

 10 of them to be exact!!  Maddie's graduation gift was a fish tank and some new fishies!!!  (She was wanting a Guinea pig or lizard...ummm...NO, I'm such a mean Mama! So she settled for fish!!)  We got the tank all ready to go yesterday and today we took Maddie to the store and she picked out all the things she needed for her new tank!

 She was quite excited!!  Miaya loves them too and I am sure this is where I will see their 2 beautiful faces plastered for awhile!

Home Time!!

We were having so much fun that we wanted to stay however the park was full, so we had to leave...boo!!!  The girls watched a movie this morning while Daddy and I packed up.  We didn't make any records getting home due to the traffic on a Friday afternoon, but they were great passengers and were pooped from our vacation!  What a great week!!  Can't wait for some more camping with my 3 favorite people!!
