When summer began, I was wondering what we would do to fill our days...
we used our boat more this summer than we have in the past! The weather was awesome and we bought a new toy, I mean tube for the boat and it is FUN!!!!! Many bottles of sunscreen were sacrificed (and bottles of water!) and we had so much fun!!!
We were invited to Maddie's BFF's cottage for the day today! The girls played, swam and put on a show for us! It was a great way to spend a day!!
with my girlfriend...Nana stayed home with our girlies and I went out...for the day and overnight! My girlfriend and I had a day out of shopping, and then she treated me to dinner!! And then we had dessert...mmm...and some good chit chat and some catching up...We have been friends for many MANY years and we love that no matter how much time elapses between our visits, it doesn't matter, we just pick up where we left off...We all need more friends like that!
So, thank you my dear for a wonderful night...I am looking forward to our next date!!!! xo
Nothing crazy or weird for us this Friday the 13th...Maddie was at her last day of Dance camp and Miaya and I hung out before we went to watch Maddie's hour long performance, which they put on for the parents and whomever else wants to see it!! I videotaped her show so I can't show you on here (takes too long to upload it;) but she did fabulous!!! Miaya loved watching her big sister and clapped for her!! Another week of summer is gone...it seems to be going by fast!!!
Happy Birthday to my sister-in-law today!! And ME!!!! My day was quiet...I got a beautiful bouquet of flowers delivered from my hubby, they are lovely!! My Mom took the girls and I out for dinner, also lovely. I guess as we get older, our birthday is just another day, however, remember this about me if nothing else, I LOVE my birthday and love to be spoiled...thought you all should know that!!
We picked up Maddie's new glasses today...they are dark purple and some lime green mixed in too! They make her look older...she is growing much too fast.
Maddie is at Dance camp this week, so tonight her BFF came home with her for a sleepover! They swam for over 2 hours and then went to bed...they had fun and it was easy for me!
Seems like I am having them more often than one person should...Maddie is at Dance camp this week and she asked me this morning if I could straighten her hair...and then she decided that she didn't want me to do it. Well, that's not a problem...except I forgot to unplug the straightener...CRAP!!! I didn't even think about it until 11 am when Miaya and I were on our way home...Lovely...the house was still standing when we got here...Seriously, what is wrong with me??!!!!!
Nana and I took the girls to Bobcaygeon for the day...We packed a picnic lunch, which we kind of ate in the car on the way there...notice Miaya's cracker sandwich she made and ATE like that...what a girl!
We did some shopping and then sat and watched the boats and had some snacks!! Miaya does whatever Maddie does, including sitting just like her!!
Big sister Maddie got invited to her friend's house for a play date today, so we went and did some shopping! Miaya is such an easy girl to take anywhere, she's silly!!
when you realize you have done something with only half your brain...or none of it!! Anyone else ever have these moments??!!
Gramma had just left with Maddie for their play date and Miaya and I were heading to the (air conditioned!) trailer to finish cleaning the floor and put all the clean stuff away...Miaya needed a snack, so I shut the door, walked about 20 feet while thinking "Hmmm...I left the keys (the only set!) in there...oh she'll be fine" I came back a few minutes later to a LOCKED door!!! S*&T!!!!! What the H-E-L-L was I thinking?!?!! So I calmly asked little Miss Miaya to "open" the door...All I hear is "Yup Mama"...and I hear some noise at the door...NOTHING!!! CRAP!!!! So, 2 more times I instructed the not quite 2 year old how to unlock the door..."Turn the RED switch honey" "Yup Mama" In my mind I am thinking, which window is the cheapest to fix and Mark is going to kill me! (He wouldn't but I am sure he wouldn't be impressed with his brain dead wife's actions...) And then I hear it...CLICK...THANK FRIGGING GOD!!!!!!! And thank god she knows her colours!!! I opened the door and quickly put the keys in my pocket...and yes, I learned to NEVER do that again...dumbass...

Can you believe that this child's mother gave her chocolate?...on a hot summer day!...in the car!...I can't...!!
It started on Sunday with a house load of people here...we wanted to surprise them with sort of an "early" 1st Birthday party for Declan!!!
We had many late nights but it was so worth it! We got some good pictures and had even more fun taking them...when do you think we will grow up??!!!
And with the weather, beautiful and hot, we took advantage of it, also FUN!!!!!! We had a wonderful week!
