Great friend, great night, great RUN!!

 

 Oh ya, we are 2 HOT chicks!!  Like our glow stick sunglasses?!  Watch out boys, we are both taken!!  HA HA!!!  What a night!!  A night run, with glow sticks and music and FUN...and then the clouds rolled in and we had to wait to start!  The weather was wicked!  We started about 45 mins later than expected and it was still raining and lightening but we did it! 

 We were SOAKED when we were finished and damp and kind of cold but it was still fun!  Making memories is what we were doing, mission accomplished!!! 

Some day Janelle, I will use this picture as blackmail...LOL!!!  Driving with your sunglasses on because you know how bright it is at 10 o'clock at night!!  And still with your Wilson on...our cool headbands that we wore for our second race tonight came in handy believe it or not because it helped soak up the rain before it could run into our eyes!!  And I was proud to be with you tonight, headband and all!!  Thank you for the race and of course, the laughs and the long drive home...HA...oops!!!  xo

Daddy's turn!!!!!!

 Daddy is off today, so he came to the bus with us this morning and got to see his babies off!!  He always misses these moments so he was really happy to see them off today!!  And he gets to pick them up too because this Momma has somewhere to be tonight!!!  HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!

SUCCESS!!!!!

 YAY!!!  It was GREAT!!!!!  Everything was great!!!  Miaya was a little tired but she said her day was GREAT!!  And as much as Maddie says she doesn't like school, she had a great day!!!  *sigh of relief* that makes me so happy!!!  I squeezed them both so tight and loved listening to their stories!!!  And when Daddy called tonight, Miaya was hilarious!!  "Daddy, I went to my first day of school without my Mom!!" That is what she said and she was excited!!  Miaya doesn't go again until Friday, so she'll have a day of rest.  I hope everyday is as great as their first!!!  (And on a side note, I wasn't sure what I would do today to keep myself busy, but when I was stalking the girls at their school this am, I got a call from one of my customers who had some work for me to do, so away I went, and that took all day and another day tomorrow, so Miaya is going to hang out with Gramma for a few hours tomorrow.  It really kept my mind occupied so I didn't have much time to be sad, made my day easier!!)

IT'S HERE!!!!

The first day of school!!! Another for Maddie and the FIRST for Miaya!!  OMG, wow!!!  They are both stoked!!!  Miaya has been ready for this since before the end of last years school year.  We have been talking about it and with her watching her big sis do this for 4 years now, she wants a piece of the action!!  Daddy always misses these moments so I took TONNES of pics and kept sending him them all morning.  We got up and ready as usual, and we drove this morning because I can't follow the bus on foot.  Yup, you heard me, I always follow the bus on the 1st day, crazy maybe...say what you will.

The bus arrived with a few minutes to spare, so I was able to take some pictures of them!!!

No tears from either, maybe a little anxiety for Maddie because she knows what's happening, but Miaya is so innocent!!  I waved and snapped pictures with tears in my eyes (guarded by sunglasses) and wished them the best first day ever!!!  I took pictures of them arriving at school, hand in hand, wishing I could hug them one more time before their big adventure!!  But I know, they will be OK and they always have each other, which will make them both feel better and me!!!  HAPPY FIRST DAY!!!  I miss them already and can't wait to see them tonight and hear all about their days!!!

Twas the night before...

and both of are beauties are tucked in and ready!!  With our oldest getting older and our youngest going to her first day, this Momma is a little nervous and maybe a little sad.  Ok, quite sad actually, I won't lie.  Time just keeps passing by so quickly, too quickly.   I have to watch them both get on that bus tomorrow morning.  I will keep it together because I know they will be just fine without me, I want them to be but man I will miss them, I always do.  Sleep tight my loves, for tomorrow is a big day!! xo 

Sleepovers and boats!

 Maddie had her friend sleepover one last time before summer ends...so sad, that summer is ending I mean.  This has been the absolute best summer ever!!  We stayed so busy and I felt like a kid again!!  I know it's supposed to be for the kids and all but I guess I'm not ready to grow up!!

The water was a little chilly, quite actually.  The lake didn't warm up as much this summer as usual but the girls did not care!!  They tubed for a few hours and then swam for more! 

School starts again this week for Maddie and for the first time for our little pumpkin!!  YIKES!!!  Good bye to a fantastic summer!!  Until we meet again!!

 to a beautiful couple!!  We wish you many happy years together!  The wedding was gorgeous, all outdoor.  A great evening!  (And thanks to Nana for watching the girls!!)
