Long Weekend Fun!!!

 WOW...where the heck has summer gone??!!  We kept super busy and had so much fun and now, with only 1 weekend left before somewhat "normal" schedules, we enjoyed the last bit of summer on the water!!  I left bright and early this morning to head down and pick up my brother and nephew, sucks to be my sis-in-law, because she had to work!!  We went boating, tubing and took the Sea doo out too!  It was a great day on the water...Summer goes by so darn fast...we had so much fun that we stayed out until dark, and ate our BBQ steaks at 9:30 p.m.  The kids were great...pooped but had lots of fun!

Movie & Sight Seeing

 With Declan away today, Papa asked if we would like to go to the Movies!!  So, we had popcorn, watched a movie, stopped for dinner and then took a trip down Memory Lane!

 

 A little story...when I was a little younger than Maddie, we used to go Rafting down these rapids and not too long ago Mark and I had gone for a drive and I was trying to show him but couldn't find it...So, When I asked Dad today, we went for a drive and showed the girls.

 They thought it was pretty cool!  And it brought back quite a few memories! 
 We had a wonderful afternoon and as you can see, the girls did too!!  So much fun, that Lilia is going to stay another night!!

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY BUDDY!!!

 
2 years ago seems like a long time ago...My sweet nephew is 2 today!!!  Wow!!!  The girls and I sang to him and he blew out the candle on his pancake!  He wasn't with us long though because he went to the Zoo with his Great Aunt for the day!!  We hope he has a SUPER fun!! xo

And then we were 4!!

 After the 3 of us ran out to do some errands this morning, we came home and waited for Maddie's friend to come over, they will be having a sleepover and hanging out!

 
 I was able to keep the little ones away from the older ones for most of the day!  But they all were great!

And Declan's Gramma stopped by for some snuggles too! 

A mini vacation!

This handsome little man will be staying with us for the next 12 days!  His Mom and Dad have gone away for an "Adult" vacation and they have trusted us to take good care of him!!  And that we will...after all, he does have 2 extra "little" Mom's to watch over him and they will LOVE having their cousin here!!

Party Time!

With my nephew's birthday coming up and since they are here for a visit, we decided to throw a party for him!!  There were 23 of us here and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves!  The weather held out until just after we served dinner, which was a Turkey that my hubby cooked in the fryer and a tonne of fresh corn that Papa boiled outside in another fryer!  The birthday boy had lots of fun, as did the other kids that were here!  Unfortunately, I used me other camera for most of the day and my memory stick has broke and I am unable to get the pictures off of it yet...I'm quite annoyed, however, I hope to get my pictures off soon!! 

Getting DIRTY!! And loving every minute!!!

OH MY GOD...Can you say FUN!!?!!?!?  I had the absolute hands down best day that I have had in a VERY long time!! It was a few hours and it was all about me!  Oh ya, I said it...so selfish, and I don't even care!  I was flying high!!  A girlfriend and I were looking for a race or challenge to reward ourselves actually.  We've both been working hard for the past while trying to better ourselves and we found this and thought YES, that's it!!  Mud Hero is a 6 km, 18 obstacle course, that you can run, walk, time yourself, have fun, whatever you want!!  There was 6 of us that went because when a few others found out, they wanted in on the fun too!!  We started the race together and finished together..."Leave no one behind" was the motto we started with and that is what we did!  A few of us run and a few don't, so we walked/ran and just had a BLAST!!!  I brought my water camera and it got DIRTY!!  But it was so worth it!  We took over 300 pictures!  We took our time and made sure we got the memories on film!! 

We left our place before 7am, got there 2 hours later, registered and waited for our 11am start time!  The atmosphere was totally AWESOME!!  So much fun, I know I have said that but it really was!!

I'm like a giant child because we got to go down a slide and land in the mud and it was my FAVORITE!!  Getting dirty is GREAT!!

And yes, my feet actually got stuck on this last obstacle!  Oh yes, I mean STUCK!!  I wasn't even able to wiggle my shoes off because they were done up so well!  It took me a few tries to get out!!

I had dirt in places I didn't know existed!  LOL!!!  I was (and am) very proud of myself.  The course wasn't difficult for me (not to sound conceited), it was made for fun and that is what we did!  And I can't wait for next year!!  We are looking for a few other things to do too, it's great to challenge ourselves as we get older and why not have fun while we are doing it!!
